Helena Nemec Rudež

Helena Nemec Rudež is a full professor at the Faculty of Tourism Studies – Turistica, University of Primorska. After completing high school, she enrolled at the Schoo of Economics and Business, University of Ljubljana, where she obtained her bachelor’s, master’s, and doctoral degrees. She completed her doctoral dissertation, entitled Intellectual Capital in Slovenian Tourism Companies, under the supervision of Professor Tanja Mihalič, PhD, and co-supervision of Professor Bogomir Kovač, PhD, and defended it in 2004. Her teaching and research focus on tourism business and economics. She is the author of scientific articles, papers, and books in the field of tourism. In 2015, she received the UP FTŠ Turistica Award for Scientific Research Work. Between 2009 and 2017, she served first as Head of the Department of Tourism Enterprise Management and later as Head of the Department of Tourism Services Development and Marketing.
