Tourism is a multidisciplinary research area, which is often connected with developmental and market issues. One of the faculty missions is research development itself. With a 2009 internal act Turistica established MIRT – the Mediterranean Institute for Research in Tourism, through which it enabled a modern system of research and developmental activities in tourism and increased the transfer of knowledge in its own environment. The research work, carried out at the faculty, comprises national and international scientific-research projects, cross-border, developmental and market projects.
