International Cooperation

UP FTŠ Turistica strives for internationalisation due to the internationality of the concept of tourism itself. Every year, students show a greater interest in gaining knowledge in the field of tourism abroad. More and more opt for the student mobility programs for studies as well as placements, thus completing part of their regular studies at a partner institution (student exchange program) or gaining practical experience abroad (student mobility for placements). We have also seen an increase in staff mobility (teaching and administrative staff).

In addition to student and staff mobility programs, the Faculty also hosts an outstanding number of guest lecturers. Each academic year we host about 20 foreign lecturers, both in the mobility programs and in the framework of various projects.

The involvement of the Faculty in the international environment brings additional value to the improvement of study methods, the development of new study programs and progress in science and research.

The Faculty organises the biennial conference EncuentrosLocated on the Adriatic coast in the Port of Roses (Portorož), part of the Municipality of Piran, the conference provides a space for Encounters of tourism scholars from various academic disciplines, tourism practitioners and students.
