Online application procedure

First you need to register in the provided web link: ONLINE APPLICATION

After the registration, you will be guided further within the application tool to complete the application procedure and upload the necessary documents:

  • “Learning Agreement for Studies” signed by student and student`s home university;
  • Recommendation Letter from the professor of English LanguageOR other relevant certificate stating that you have the required knowledge of English Language (TOEFL, CAE, etc.);
  • Photo for the Student Card (Photo should be in .jpg/pdf./.bmp format in color. Size of photography must exceed 35x45mm with resolution greater than 300 dpi (min. 400x503 pixels). Photo should be clear image without any marks, as for the purpose of the issue of personal document. Furthermore it must apply to standards for biometrical processing).;
  • Consent to use personal data and document,
  • If you need to apply for VISA, you should also submit form STATEMENT form: student's Statement for issuing the CERTIFICATE OF ACCEPTANCE TO AN EXCHANGE PROGRAMME. The form can be found in the FORM TEMPLATES in the application tool.

After submitting the application form, you can also fill in the INFORMATION ON HOUSING section for ACCOMMODATION placement. The University of Primorska (UP) offers some direct contacts of the landowners to the students. The contact list is sent to the students 1-2 months before their planned arrival. Documents to have upon the arrival

For the purpose of your registration at the registration office you will also need:
– European health insurance: Please make sure that it is valid through all duration of your stay in Slovenia;
– Copy of the accommodation contract – you will get it at your arrival from your landlord;
– Copy of personal document (ID or passport); 
– 2 original photos (dimension 3,5 cm wide and 4,5 cm high);
– Police clearance certificate, not older than 3 months and with Apostille (or properly legalised, if your country does not issue Apostilles).
– Declaration of sufficient means of subsistence in Slovenia in a monthly amount at least equal to the basic minimal income: 465,34 € per month, throughout the duration of your studies in Slovenia.

If the means of subsistence is lower than the basic minimum income, you can prove your financial means with a statement from your parents, supported by a birth certificate on an international form not older than 3 months (if by the law of the country where you are coming from, your parents have to support you during your studies).
