Gorazd Sedmak is an associate professor and research associate in the field of business management in tourism at the University of Primorska, Faculty of Tourism Studies – Turistica, holding bachelor degrees in economics and transport technologies, a MSc in economics, and a Ph.D. in the field of business and organisation. His dissertation dealt with the authenticity in tourism. He previously worked in the Lama d.d. company as an international sales officer and in the Primorski tisk d.d. company as an associate marketing manager. His academic career focuses on tourism product development, heritage marketing and valorisation of authenticity in tourism. He worked on several international projects dealing with tourism product development, destination competitiveness and tourism market analysis. He is the editor in chief of the scientific journal Academica Turistica – Tourism and Innovation Journal and peer reviewer at internationally acknowledged journals and conferences: Annals of Tourism Research, Tourism and Hospitality Research, Annales for Istrian and Mediterranean studies, Series historia et sociologia, Academica turistica, Advances in tourism marketing conference (ATMC).
