Project Activities/Results: The challenge at both global and local levels is to find effective ways to reduce the environmental damage caused by tourism. The goal of this research project is to bring about changes in behavioral patterns of more than six billion tourists who travel around the world every year, leading to significant shifts. These shifts focus on individual tourist decisions, such as renting an electric car instead of a gasoline-powered one, turning off air conditioning in hotel rooms, or consuming all the food taken at a buffet. While individual actions alone may not create global change, collective changes in decision-making on a massive scale can make a significant impact in preserving our environment.

Aktivnosti/rezultati projekta: Namen predlagane raziskave je s pomočjo turističnega gospodarstva identificirati kompetence, ki jih delavci v turizmu potrebujejo, pri čemer se bomo osredotočili na dinamiko sprememb in identificirali tudi, katere kompetence bodo v prihodnosti pridobivale na pomenu in bodo osnova za uspešen in konkurenčen slovenski turizem v skladu s sodobnimi trendi. Sočasno bomo opravili analizo stanja na celotni izobraževalni vertikali za poklice v slovenskem turizmu, s čimer bomo lahko opravili analizo vrzeli med dejanskim stanjem in pričakovanim/želenim stanjem, kar bo osnova za pripravo priporočil za spremembe v izobraževalnem sistemu vzdolž celotne vertikale.
