Implementation of the study process in the academic year 2020/21 at UP FTŠ Turistica

The current academic year was undoubtedly marked by the COVID-19 epidemic, because of which the schools in the country had been closed for a long time. At UP FTŠ Turistica, the employees tried to adapt to the exceptional conditions overnight and we established distance learning, which also required a great deal of patience and self-discipline from the students. Unfortunately, some components of the study that require direct contact (field exercises, study practice, …) could not be completely replaced.

Both teachers and students have put a lot of effort into distance learning, but it is clear that such a system cannot yet completely replace the learning process in a lecture hall where we are physically present. Meeting live at the faculty contributes significantly to the dialogue between teachers and students, the exchange of opinions and ideas, and the motivation to work. A unique part of the studies is also the connection between students, which also marks future life and career path.
