Information for exchange students

STUDENTS FROM ABROAD VISITING UP

The study process is continuing at the University of Primorska and is being implemented distantly. You have received additional information on this from your host faculties and professors.

We respectfully ask you to follow the guidelines and recommendations of national and local authorities and of your home country.

Please know that you can finish your mobility early due to force majeure, if you would like to. However, we simultaneously advise you to weigh thoughtfully all potential risks and advantages of such a decision, with consideration of the measures of countries on your way home and your exposure. Public authorities discourage all travel and countries are implementing different measures preventing it. Before you make any final decision, check measures active on your route. The university and the faculty will respect any decision you make and stand by you in its realisation.

You can obtain additional information and support from your faculty international coordinators.

MOBILITY DISCONTINUATION

You can discontinue your mobility. If you decide to do so, the day of the interruption, is the day when you leave your hosting country, regardless if you follow the classes on-line or not.

You are entitled to the grant for each day you spent abroad. However, you will have to return the potential grants you received for days you have not been staying abroad. The mobility period is still proven with the statement of the hosting institution.

There are two options, when you discontinue your mobility:

  • If the partner university is offerend distance learning, you can do your work from home. In this case, your faculty will recognise you the learning outcomes, as agreed before departure.
  • You can continue the students at home institution and try to make it up with professors and collagues.

We are individually processing all requests related to mobility discontinuation and recognition of classes, as circumstances are very specific. Therefore, contact also the faculty international office.

COPING WITH THE SITUATION

We are aware that distance from your loved ones is creating even harder circumstances in these difficult times for mobile students.

It is important to know that the current conditions are tough, but they will pass. Be sure to maintain social contacts with the support of modern technologies and fill your days with routines. Outdoor recreation is allowed.

You can still contact your faculty international coordinators and tutors for international students.
