GOST UP 2019 - 2022: dr. Simon Ličen (WSU)

Hosting foreign experts and professors at the University of Primorska 2019 - 2022 

UP FTŠ Turistica will host assoc. prof. Simon Ličen from the Washington State University (WSU), College of Education, Department of Educational Leadership and Sport Management.

Assoc. Prof. Ličen (www.simonlicen.com) researches and teaches undergraduate and postgraduate studies at WSU, and covers the field of media and communication in sports. His rich experience, which he has also gained in various local and national media companies and during the organization of various sport events, will contribute to the transfer of knowledge and good practices from the international environment among UP students and to the strengthening of their competencies.

As part of his 3-month guest lecturing, i.e. from October to December 2020, dr. Ličen will also participate in other activities of the faculty and strengthen the cooperation with employees, which will contribute to greater openness and internationalization of the university.

Dr. Ličen will hold lectures within the subjects of the study program Tourism Enterprises Management (professional study program), Tourism Destinations Management (professional study program), Tourism (University study program), Cultural Tourism (University study program), and Tourism (2nd Level - Master's).

Assist. prof. Marijana Sikošek, dean of UP FTŠ Turistica, is his host professor. 

The operation is carried out as part of the operation Hosting foreign experts and professors at the University of Primorska 2019 - 2022. Investment is co-financed by the Republic of Slovenia and the European Union under the European Social Fund.
