Dear Students,
At UP Faculty of Tourism Studies - Turistica, the academic year 2020/21 will be carried out in both physical and virtual space, as announced and in accordance with the guidelines of the Ministry of Education, Science and Sport, the Rector's decision and the Instructions of the University of Primorska. In order to minimize the possibility of infections, but still maintain the highest possible quality of study, we have planned the so-called combined study in the winter semester.
Lectures for groups of over 52 students shall be conducted through ZOOM or combined.
Lectures, exercises and work in smaller groups shall take place as usual, i.e. physically at the faculty according to the schedule. The latter is designed so that the possibility of transmitting the infection is as small as possible and therefore the individual group stays in the same lecture hall for as long as possible.
You MUST pay attention to:
- avoid crowds at the faculty (on arrival and during breaks),
- follow the marked routes of movement around the faculty (entrance, exit, etc.),
- not sit in front of lecture halls and on the stairs,
- the limited access to the 4th and 5th floors (except by prior arrangement),
- the timely attendance at lectures and exercises, and
- the care for disinfection after the end of the use of the working environment and objects (table, mouse, keyboard, etc.
Due to the requirements of the NIJZ (National Institute of Public Health), we will keep an attendance list for each physical meeting (exercises, lectures, library visits, purchase of meal coupons). Please notify the responsible person yourself. In the event of an infection, a field epidemiologist, who establishes contacts according to such lists, visits the faculty and consequently orders quarantines more precisely.
Persons who have signs/symptoms of sars-cov-2 infection or have been ordered a quarantine (for the duration of the quarantine) or persons who have been ordered isolation due to the sars-cov-2 positive test (for the duration of the isolation) should not enter the faculty premises and come in contact with other students and staff.
Sneezing and coughing hygiene, maintaining adequate interpersonal distance, using masks, hand hygiene, and avoiding touching the face with unclean hands are the key measures to limit the infections with the new coronavirus. Let us be in solidarity and look out for each other. Report any possible absence from the study process due to illness to higher education teachers immediately.
If you have symptoms of sars-cov-2, you must report the absence using the absence with the notification of absence.
The first and second of October will traditionally be dedicated to the introductory days. The study process at the 1st level of full-time studies begins on Monday, 5 October 2020. At the 2nd and 3rd level, the study process begins after 19 October 2020, as well as the study process at the locations of part-time studies in Ljubljana and Maribor.
The upcoming academic year will be a big challenge. We are confident that we will carry it out successfully and with confidence, a positive attitude and patience. In addition to observing the safety measures, we will be guided by the pursuit of a quality study process.
This period is quite unstable; we publish many instructions that change rapidly in relation to the the situation. Please follow them and read them carefully.
