On 11 May 2026, the Faculty of Tourism Studies – Turistica will host a professional meeting dedicated to the transition towards regenerative tourism, where concrete data ecosystems for the sustainable management of destinations will be presented for the first time. Through the results of the PUŠ – Data Ecosystems for the Development of Regenerative Tourism project and a practical workshop, the event will connect academic findings with operational solutions for the development of tourism that actively enriches the local environment of Portorož and Piran.
At the Faculty of Tourism Studies – Turistica, within the framework of the PUŠ project Data Ecosystems for the Development of Regenerative Tourism, we are opening a discussion on one of the key development shifts in tourism – the transition towards regenerative tourism.
We are pleased to invite you to this professional meeting, where Tourist Board Portorož will present the destination’s data ecosystem and current activities in the field of sustainable and regenerative tourism development. Project participants will also present project findings, experiences from fieldwork, and the concept of a data ecosystem for regenerative tourism.
The event will provide an opportunity for open discussion, exchange of opinions, and collaborative exploration of new ideas and solutions for implementing the concept of regenerative tourism in practice.
