About the lecture:
The lecture will offer an exclusive insight into the background of securing and organizing one of Europe’s largest international events – EXPO 2027 Belgrade. Our guest will present the bidding process in competition with several countries, the challenges of building the organization, and key lessons learned from crisis situations and mistakes. The lecture will conclude with personal reflections and practical advice for future professionals.
About the speaker:
Dr. Dušan Borovčanin is a globally recognized expert in tourism strategies, international events, and destination development. He played a key executive role in the development and global positioning of EXPO 2027 Belgrade. As former CEO of the Serbia Convention Bureau, he significantly contributed to strengthening Serbia’s position in the global meetings industry. He is an Assistant Professor, researcher, and frequent keynote speaker at international conferences. His work has also been featured in leading global media, including Fortune, USA Today, and Gulf News.
The lecture will be held in English and is open to students, professionals, and the general public.
