Janez Mekinc is an Associate Professor of Organization and Management in Tourism at the Faculty of Tourism Studies Portorož – Turistica University of Primorska. He is a Dean of the faculty since 2016. His research topics are security and safety in tourism. Second research topic is organizational behaviour, with particular emphasis on organizational values and culture. He also researches topic business ethics and link to the value systems in organizations. He is the author and co-author of numerous scientific articles published in international scientific journals and publications. He is a scientific expert on European Forum for Urban Security (Efus) for topic safety and security in tourism. He also deals with social skills and business negotiations training.
