Janez Mekinc, Associate Professor of organization and management in tourism at the Faculty of Tourism Studies Portorož – TURISTICA, University of Primorska. Between 2016 and 2020, he held the position of Dean of the faculty. His primary research areas include security/safety and management in tourism, coaching, organizational behavior, social skills, and applied ethics. He is the author and co-author of numerous scientific articles published in international scientific journals and scientific monographs. As a scientific expert for the European Forum for Urban Security (Efus) in the field of security and tourism, he participated in the Security&Tourism project. Since 2016, he has been a member of the Senate of the University of Primorska, and since 2023, he has been serving as the Chairman of the Supervisory Board of the EMCC SLOVENIJA (European Mentoring and Coaching Council Slovenija). He has held the "Coaching in Leadership" license since 2011.
