Tutoring

We are students, usually in our upper years, who help our colleagues find information and give guidance on various dilemmas in the context of their studies and student life.

Student tutors can be contacted by sending an email to fts.tutor@upr.si. 

Tutor teachers guide you through your studies. We usually give individual advice on topics such as: the requirements for progression to a higher year, the conditions for transfer between different courses/programmes, electives and the conditions for completing a programme of study; the recognition of study abroad requirements, the choice of a mentor and specific issues related to your study process.

TUTORING FOR STUDENTS WITH SPECIAL NEEDS

This is a special form of tutoring that offers support to all students, regardless of their course of study or year of study. As both students with disabilities and statuses require specific adjustments to their studies and environment, tutors help students to integrate more successfully and tutors also work with the student with a disability or status to develop an individualised support plan for the student with a disability, which includes a list of specific adjustments that will help the student to complete their studies more successfully.

TUTORING FOR INTERNATIONAL STUDENTS

Tutoring for international students is an activity in which student tutors help international students to overcome culture shock and get used to their new environment when they arrive in Slovenia. It is intended for foreign students coming to UP within the framework of mobility programmes and for foreign students enrolled in UP study programmes. Tutors help the foreign student to:

- contacting the foreign student by e-mail before his/her arrival in Slovenia,
- administrative matters (obtaining a student card, purchasing student vouchers, registering temporary residence, obtaining a tax number, etc.),
- orientation at FTŠ Turistica and, if necessary, counselling during your studies,
- integration into the Slovenian environment,
- familiarisation with extra-curricular activities of FTŠ Turistica and UP.

Kandidati za tutorja se prijavijo na razpis, ki ga objavi univerza na spletni strani. Zadnji razpis je bil objavljen do konca marca 2023.

Kandidati ob trajanju razpisa svojo prijavo oddajo preko obrazca, ter svoje motivacijsko pismo pošljejo koordinatorju tutorskega sistema UP FTŠ Turistici. Koordinator na podlagi prejetih vlog izpelje izbor kandidatov in jih predlaga v imenovanje Senatu UP FTŠ Turistici. O imenovanju so tutorji pravočasno obveščeni s prejemom sklepa o imenovanju.

Tutor – študent mora do 30. junija oddati poročilo o delu za posamezno študijsko leto na predpisanem obrazcu Poročilo od delu tutorja (glej razdelek Obrazci za tutorje). Poskrbeti mora, da poročilo (so)podiše tudi koordinator tutorjev študentov, ki s podpisom potrdi vsebino poročila.

Tutor – študent odda poročilo v Referat UP FTŠ Turistice, ki poročilo posreduje koordinatorju tutorjev učiteljev v pregled.

Na podlagi potrjenega poročila o tutorskem delu in predloga koordinatorja tutorjev pristojna komisija odloča o priznanju opravljenega tutorskega dela, s tem je tutor-študent upravičen do certifikata o delu tutorja in vpis priznanega tutorskega dela v prilogo k diplomski listini.
