On Monday, March 25, 2024 (early elections), and on Thursday, March 28, 2023 (regular elections), the second round of elections for the Dean of the Faculty of Tourism Studies Turistica (UP FTŠ) took place. The Electoral Committee for the regular election of the Dean of UP FTŠ - Turistica has determined the result of the voting. Based on the Report on the results of the regular election of the Dean of UP FTŠ - Turistica, the voter turnout by individual groups of voters was as follows:
- Among university teachers and researchers: 38 voters,
- Among students: 98 voters,
- Among other employees: 19
A total of 155 voters or 30,39 % turned out to vote in the elections.
Based on the counted valid ballots, candidate assoc. prof. Emil Juvan, PhD Australia received 42,72 votes or 51,49 % of valid votes, while candidate assoc. prof. Marijana Sikošek, received 40,24 votes or 48,51 % of valid votes. Assoc. prof. Emil Juvan, PhD Australia, has been elected as the Dean of the Faculty of Tourism Studies at Turistica for the next four-year term of office.
The Senate of UP FTŠ Turistica will adopt a decision based on the results of the election and at the same time propose to the Rector of UP, prof. Klavdija Kutnar, the appointment of assoc. prof. Emil Juvan, PhD Australia as Dean of UP FTŠ Turistica for the next term of office (1 June 2024 - 31 May 2028).
