  • Turistica Successfully Held Its First ERASMUS EXPO

The UP Faculty of Tourism Studies – Turistica hosted the first Erasmus EXPO on Wednesday, 26 November 2025, an event dedicated to presenting international mobility opportunities within the Erasmus+ programme. Between 12:00 and 14:00, many students interested in study, traineeship, and personal development opportunities abroad gathered in Classroom 201 and the lobby on the first floor.

The event was opened by Assoc. Prof. Emil Juvan, PhD (Australia), the Dean of the Faculty, who emphasized the importance of international experience for developing competences, employability, and broadening young people’s perspectives. This was followed by a general presentation of Erasmus+ opportunities at the University of Primorska, prepared by Žiga Leban, providing students with an overview of available exchanges and traineeships.

An important part of the programme was also dedicated to presenting organizations and institutions that offer students opportunities abroad. Iris Brili presented the work of ASEF – the American Slovenian Education Foundation, which enables young people to gain international research and development experience in the United States. The event continued with a presentation by Irina Aslanova (Job Trust HR Recruitment & Consulting, Greece), who introduced students to various internship opportunities in Greece and shared valuable insights and experiences related to working in an international environment.

The event concluded with an informal Erasmus EXPO gathering in the first-floor lobby, where students had the opportunity to speak directly with those who had already participated in Erasmus mobility. Participants could gain first-hand insight into the experiences, challenges, and opportunities encountered during study or traineeship periods abroad. The conversations took place in a relaxed atmosphere, allowing students to exchange advice, gather useful information, and establish connections that may support them in planning their own mobility experiences.

The first Erasmus EXPO was very well attended, confirming the strong interest of Turistica students in international opportunities. We are pleased with the positive response and would like to thank all lecturers, partners, and students who contributed to the success of the event.
