Students Develop a Concept for Promoting Vitality and Well-Being at Radenci Health Resort
At the University of Primorska, Faculty of Tourism Studies – Turistica, a project presentation titled Creating Tourism Content: Healthy Steps Towards Vitality and Well-Being was held as part of the PUŠ – Problemsko učenje študentov v delovnem okolju initiative.
The project brought together students from the University of Primorska Faculty of Tourism Studies – Turistica and the University of Primorska Faculty of Health Sciences under the mentorship of Assist. Prof. Petra Zabukovec Baruca, PhD, Assist. Prof. Žana Čivre, PhD, and workplace mentor Ana Praprotnik, Marketing Director at Sava Turizem.
The students developed a comprehensive content concept for Radenci Health Resort aimed at promoting vitality, healthy lifestyles, and overall well-being. In designing their proposals, they combined knowledge from the fields of tourism, health, and the development of personalised tourism experiences, demonstrating the importance of interdisciplinary cooperation in creating modern tourism products.
The final presentations were also attended by representatives of Radenci Health Resort and Sava Turizem d. d.: Ana Praprotnik, Marketing Director of Sava Turizem d. d., Zdenka Ploj, Executive Director of Radenci Health Resort, and Janja Kisilak, Head of Animation at Radenci Health Resort. The guests were introduced to the proposed experiential upgrades of the existing offer, new programme concepts, and a promotional campaign proposal. They also provided professional feedback and assessed the practical feasibility of the proposed activities.
The project work began with a field visit to Radenci Health Resort, where students became acquainted with the existing offer, development potential, and the needs of target groups. Further activities were carried out in close cooperation with mentors from both the academic and professional environments, giving students direct insight into the processes of developing tourism content and products.
At the final presentation, students showcased the project concept, proposed activities, and possibilities for the further development and promotion of offerings tailored to the needs of contemporary visitors, while emphasising the role of tourism in supporting health, vitality, and well-being. The project represents an excellent example of connecting the study process with a real working environment and makes an important contribution to strengthening students’ practical competencies.
At the University of Primorska Faculty of Tourism Studies – Turistica, we hope that the cooperation between both faculties, Sava Turizem, and Radenci Health Resort will continue to encourage the development of new ideas, projects, and opportunities for innovative tourism content in the fields of health, vitality, and well-being.
