Prof. Tadeja Jere Jakulin has been honoured with the Lifetime Achievement Award at the IRTP Conference, held in Montserrat, Spain. This prestigious international recognition acknowledges her outstanding contribution to research in the fields of religious tourism, pilgrimage, and cultural heritage.
The Institute for Religious Tourism and Pilgrimage (IRTP) Conference took place from 24 to 27 June 2026 in the magnificent setting of the Monastery of Montserrat, one of Europe's most renowned pilgrimage destinations. It was there that Prof. Tadeja Jere Jakulin received the Lifetime Achievement Award in recognition of her exceptional contribution to advancing research in religious tourism, pilgrimage, and cultural heritage.
The award honours her many years of dedicated research and academic excellence. Through her systematic approach, international collaboration, and commitment to advancing knowledge, she has made a significant contribution to the development of the field and to its growing international recognition.
