Presentation of a Travelogue and Discussion About Traveling in Uncertain Times

On Thursday, 9 January 2025, as part of the 30th anniversary of the Faculty of Tourism Studies – Turistica, University of Primorska, the first event in the series »Lightly Serious« took place. The event featured a travel lecture titled »Cruising from the Mediterranean around the Arabian Peninsula to the Persian Gulf« by the Emeritus Prof. Dr. Anton Gosar. As a discussant, he was joined by Assist. Prof. Dr. Primož Šterbenc, with whom he engaged in a discussion on one of the most important topics in contemporary tourism: travel in times of crisis.

The event was organized by University of Primorska University Library in cooperation with UP FTŠ – Turistica and the help of third-year students from the program in Tourism Management, within the framework of the course Cultural Events and Tourism.

The event was hosted by Ana Šenk, a second-year student in the Tourism Management program.
