Faces of Tourism (Obrazi turizma) is a podcast created within the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Faculty of Tourism Studies – Turistica, University of Primorska. It reveals the stories and experiences of experts and dedicated professionals from the tourism industry. Guests share behind-the-scenes insights into this dynamic field that connects people, cultures, and places. Each episode offers a unique perspective on the world of tourism through personal narratives and valuable experiences.
Vesna Malnar Memedović transitioned from being a television presenter to working in tourism as the director of the Kočevsko Institute. Their destination is still developing but holds enormous potential. Tourism students involved in the project for their new strategy have experienced this firsthand. Forests with wild animals, a lake, a bunker, and countless cycling routes are their main attractions. But why are they one of the few destinations that actually benefited from the pandemic?
