Faces of Tourism (Obrazi turizma) is a podcast created within the celebration of the 30th anniversary of the Faculty of Tourism Studies – Turistica, University of Primorska. It reveals the stories and experiences of experts and dedicated professionals from the tourism industry. Guests share behind-the-scenes insights into this dynamic field that connects people, cultures, and places. Each episode offers a unique perspective on the world of tourism through personal narratives and valuable experiences.

When we talk about Slovenian tourism, we must not forget wine and wine tourism. That’s why the guest of the new Faces of Tourism podcast is the president of the Association of Winegrowers of Slovenian Istria, Ingrid Mahnič. Tourism and travel have been part of her life since childhood, and through love she also found her way into wine. Today, she regularly participates in international wine evaluations. In addition to viticulture and winemaking, her farm is also engaged in tourism and hospitality, with a strong sense of homeliness. In the podcast, you’ll also learn more about the annual Portorož Malvasia Festival, which is organised by her.

The podcast is hosted by student Ana Šenk. The podcast is in Slovenian language. 

The conversation was organized as part of the project Green, Digital and Inclusive University of Primorska (GDI UP).
