The Faculty of Tourism Studies Turistica has become a partner in a new three-year international project, 2025-1-SK01-KA220-HED-000362455 SmartTourismAcademy: Preparing the Next Generation of Tourism Experts, carried out within the Erasmus+ programme. Its main aim is to support modern education in the field of green and regenerative tourism and contribute to the development of sustainable approaches in practice.

 

In addition to our faculty, the project partners are:
• Constantine the Philosopher University in Nitra (Slovakia) – lead partner
• Budapest Metropolitan University (Hungary)
• Turiba University (Latvia)
• University of Salento (Italy)
• Silesian University in Opava (Czech Republic)
• University of Nicosia (Cyprus)
• Instytut Przedsiębiorczości UJ (Poland)

The first introductory project meeting took place between 23 and 25 November 2025 in Budapest, at Budapest Metropolitan University. Participants discussed detailed cooperation rules, aligned the project activity plan, and exchanged proven teaching methods. UP FTŠ Turistica was represented by assist. Tadej Rogelja, MSc (in person), and the project leader Senior Lecturer Tina Kociper (online).
