MOOC 2019: Tourism Management at UNESCO World Heritage Sites

We are thrilled to announce that the enrollments to a brand new

"Tourism Management at UNESCO World Heritage Sites (vol.2)"

are now officially open!

 For all who are active in the field of tourism and/or cultural heritage,
or for those who want it!

The Faculty of Tourism Studies - Turistica,
member of the UNESCO UNITWIN network “Culture, Tourism, Development”,

kindly invites everyone,

who is somehow connected with tourism or heritage, to enrol to the free 6-week long web course (6 modules) and gain the free course completion certificate. 

The great success of the first volume (more than 6’500 learners from 166 countries) spurred the release of this brand new open online course. In this second volume, 6 completely new chapters, prepared by a new international team of professors and researchers of the UNESCO UNITWIN Network "Culture,Tourism, Development" will explore the themes of heritage communication, management and marketing. 

The course will start on May 6th, 2019, on the FUN.MOOC (Masive Open Online Course) platform. 

Further information: 

• The course has 6 modules and has consequently a run time of 6 weeks, the course material will remain online till the end of 2019 for enrolled students;
• The assessment process is based on weekly quizzes, where participants can test their knowledge, and peer-reviewed online activities in which to put the acquired knowledge into practice; 
• The course is offered under a Creative Commons CC BY-NC-SA 4.0 license; 
• It is NOT necessary to have completed the first volume of this MOOC in order to participate.

The course was prepared in frame of a network-led project of 10 universities, 25 professors from 9 countries. Turistica’s assoc. prof. Aleksandra Brezovec, assist. Žana Čivre and assist. prof. Petra Zabukovec Baruca are among the pedagogical team that will spread their knowledge in tourism.
