At Turistica, we hosted Ain Hinsberg, Head of International and Project Cooperation from our strategic partner University of Tartu/Parnu College from Estonia. We plan to cooperate extensively with the university in the areas of teaching as well as research and projects.
With the aim of increasing teaching excellence and strengthening international and intercultural content in study programs, Turistica and UT Parno College are planning several e-visits by academic colleagues from both universities in the academic year 2022/2023 on at least one course on the topic of sustainable tourism and service design, where we will mainly present examples of good practices from the Alpine, Adriatic and Baltic regions. Project cooperation will also be strengthened, which is why the discussions also went in the direction of applying for an Interreg project in May 2023, i.e. on the topic of revitalizing culinary heritage and adapting it to modern conditions.
Since the strengthening of employee and student exchanges is also important for all of the above, the two faculties will remain partner universities within the framework of the Erasmus+ program as well.
Hinsberg was hosted by lecturers: Assoc. prof. Emil Juvan, Assoc. prof. Miha Lesjak and M.Sc. Miha Bratec.
