February Orientation Days at UP
This year's February Orientation Days took place from 13 to 15 February 2025. A varied programme of activities allowed international students to get to know the university environment, the possibilities of extracurricular activities, the city of Koper and the rest of Primorska, where they will be staying for the next few months.
On Thursday, ESN Primorska students welcomed them in the afternoon and made sure they socialised and made new friends. On Friday, the international students were welcomed by Prof. Dr. Michael Mrissa and UP Student Council President Lana Erjavec. They also met the coordinators of the international offices, representatives of the different faculties and tutors.
They had the opportunity to listen to a presentation of the Studo app, the tutor network, the UP University Library, European university Transform4Europe, of which UP is a member, the work of SportUP and the Student Organisation of the University of Primorska (SOUP). They had the opportunity to listen to the basics of the Slovenian language and taste Istrian delicacies, as well as to try their hand at a treasure hunt organised by ESN Primorska. Saturday was the perfect day for a trip to the Škocjan Caves.
