Turistica's Student Council is finishing their study year with a humanitarian action. They decided to help 2nd year student Neja Petrovčič, who is travelling to Gambia in September.
Due to its natural characteristics Gambia is one of the poorest countries in Africa. The organisation KIDS ARE THE WORLD strives to lay the foundations of education, work and offer general help to Gambia. A team of volunteers is travelling to its ‘schools’ in September to educate the younger children. The other team will help with medical assistance.
You can help financially. Just to give an illustration: with 2€ you can cover a child’s school meals for 2 weeks.
We also collect material means, literally everything.
WHAT DO WE COLLECT:
Financial donations can be left in the piggy bank at Turisticaffe, material items on the other hand next to the ŠOUP point in the 1st floor of the faculty. For any further information you can contact the student Neja Petrovčič: +386 41 527 985.
