BIKE-HEI: Second Round of Trainings for a Sustainable and Innovative Future
Following the successful first round of BIKE-HEI trainings, which enhanced the knowledge and competences of more than 380 students and over 100 university staff members, we are pleased to announce the launch of the second training cycle. This edition places a strong focus on connecting sustainability, digital transformation, and innovation within both pedagogical and institutional environments. Particular emphasis will be given to the practical application of knowledge in academic and professional contexts, as well as to the development of competences essential for the future of higher education institutions. Once again, the trainings will be delivered online. Sessions for professional staff begin on 13 March, while sessions for academic staff start on 19 March 2026.
BIKE-HEI (Boosting Innovative and Knowledge-based Entrepreneurship of HEIs) is an international project jointly implemented by the University of Alicante, the University of Primorska, Saarland University, and Mariupol State University, all members of the Transform4Europe Alliance. With a strong emphasis on the green and digital transition, the project strengthens innovation ecosystems, supports start-ups, and promotes entrepreneurship based on artificial intelligence. BIKE-HEI creates new business opportunities for innovative entrepreneurs in the fields of environmental protection, climate action, and the green economy, while enhancing the role of universities in regional innovation systems and supporting the development of spin-off companies.
The second training cycle offers up-to-date knowledge in the areas of sustainable strategies, digital innovation, measuring innovation performance, and intellectual property protection.
