Professional Career
Janja Gabruč graduated from the College of Social Work in Ljubljana. She completed a Masters degree at the Faculty of Organizational Sciences in 2000 and then a Doctorate in 2003. Her work is focused on HRM and consumer behaviour in tourism. Since 1997, she has worked at the College for Hospitality and Tourism (UP Turistica) as Assistant Professor for Tourism Management. She teaches HRM in Tourism and Consumer Behaviour in Tourism for undergraduate studies, and Human Resources development and Human resources in Tourism – contemporary approaches for postgraduate studies. She participated in two national projects – Slovene Tourism Strategy 2007-2011 and Comprehensive Human Resource Development 2007-2011. Her main research interest is social sustainability in tourism – social tourism.
