Kratek življenjepis:

Simon Kerma je doktor geografskih znanosti in sociolog kulture. Poučuje kot docent na Univerzi na Primorskem, Fakulteti za turistične študije – Turistici v Portorožu, kjer je predstojnik Katedre za kulturni turizem. Je tudi eden od ustanoviteljev Centra za gastronomijo in kulturo vina Univerze na Primorskem. Njegova raziskovalna področja so geografija turizma, kulturni turizem, vinski in kulinarični turizem, trajnostni turizem, ekoturizem in razvoj turizma na podeželju. Je sourednik nekaj strokovnih in znanstvenih monografij ter avtor oz. soavtor številnih znanstvenih prispevkov in člankov, ki so bili objavljeni v domačih in tujih znanstvenih revijah/založbah (npr. Academica Turistica, Annales, Geoadria, Geografski vestnik, Region and regionalism, ZRC SAZU). Bil je tudi član organizacijskih odborov več domačih in mednarodnih znanstvenih konferenc ter poletnih šol.

Simon Kerma, PhD, is a geographer and sociologist of culture. He is an Assistant Professor and a researcher at the Faculty of Tourism Studies – Turistica, University of Primorska. He is a Head of Department of Cultural Tourism. He is also one of the initial promoters and a collaborator of the Centre of Gastronomy and Wine Culture of the University of Primorska. In his research he deals with issues in tourism geography, cultural tourism, wine and culinary tourism, sustainable tourism, ecotourism and tourism development in rural areas. He has been a co-editor of some professional and scientific monographs, as well as co/author of several scientific papers published in Academica Turistica, Annales, Geoadria, Geografski vestnik, Region and regionalism and ZRC SAZU. He has been an active member of the steering committees of several domestic and international scientific conferences and summer schools.
