Kratek življenjepis:

Aleš Gačnik je doktor etnoloških znanosti in sociolog kulture. Poučuje kot docent na Univerzi na Primorskem, Fakulteti za turistične študije – Turistici v Portorožu. Med leti 2012 – 2017 je bil predstojnik Katedre za kulturni turizem in kulturno dediščino, od leta 2017 dalje pa namestnik predstojnika Katedre za kulturni turizem, pridružene v UNESCO univerzitetni mreži »Kultura, turizem, razvoj« (Sorbona, Pariz). Je ustanovitelj in vodja Centra za gastronomijo in kulturo vina Univerze na Primorskem. Njegova raziskovalna področja so dediščinski / kulturni turizem in kulturna dediščina, vinski / kulinarični / gastronomski turizem, razvoj turizma na podeželju. muzeji / muzeologija in turizem, kultura mask in turizem… Je urednik ali sourednik večih znanstvenih, strokovnih in umetniških monografij ter avtor oz. soavtor številnih znanstvenih prispevkov in člankov, ki so bili objavljeni v domačih in tujih znanstvenih revijah / založbah Bil je tudi vodja ali član organizacijskih odborov več domačih in mednarodnih znanstvenih konferenc, poletnih šol ter raziskovalnih taborov. Je ekspertni član Mednarodnega inštituta za gastronomijo, kulturo, umetnost in turizem (Barcelona, Španija) ter član ekspertne skupine za izbor najboljših gostiln na Slovenskem. Prejemnik večih nacionalnih in mednarodnih nagrad in priznanj.

Aleš Gačnik, PhD, is a ethnologist and sociologist of culture. He is an Assistant Professor and a researcher at the Faculty of Tourism Studies – Turistica, University of Primorska. From 2017 to 2017 he was a head of the Department of Cultural Tourism and Cultural Heritage and from 2017 onwards he is a deputy head of the Department of Cultural Tourism, joined in the UNESCO UNITWIN Network “Culture, Tourism, Development” (Sorbona, Paris).He is the founder and a head of the Centre of gastronomy and wine culture of the University of Primorska. In his research he deals with issues in heritage / cultural tourism and cultural heritage, wine / culinary / gastronomic tourism, tourism development in rural areas. museums / museology and tourism, culture of masks and tourism… He was the editor or co-editor of several scientific, professional and artistic monographs and the author or co-author of numerous scientific articles and articles published in domestic and foreign scientific journals / publishing houses.
